COMPASSIONATE FILLED LIFE by CHRISTINA GDISIS
Christina is a Conscious Vegan Lifestyle Coach, a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher, and an Activist. She has been living a vegan lifestyle since January 2012 and in that time has explored the depths of compassionate living through yoga, ethical veganism, social justice, and the environment. She creates safe and explorative spaces for others in their sacred kitchens, lifestyle programs, and retreats, to dive deep into what it means to live consciously and how to live life more authentically from the heart.
It is through yoga that she found a path of sharing what it means to embody conscious living – understanding that it’s not just about what we consume but furthermore about connecting to our ethics and morals. These guiding compassionate principles are the foundation of safe and supportive environments that give us the opportunity to uncover our layers and connect with our soul. This soul space is what helps us navigate actions and choices that honor our relationship with ourselves, community, allies, and Mama Earth.
Her love for cooking stems from watching her Greek immigrant grandmother in the kitchen, learning quickly that the secret ingredient to a delicious meal is love. This lifestyle has pushed her beyond her boundaries to explore the art of cooking from a place of kindness. She believes that vegan food is actually Compassionate Filled Food that fills the mind, body, and spirit - extending to all animals and Mother Earth.
Her work has extended into the animal rights movement where she worked closely on campaigns, programming, and the welfare/care of other sentient beings. It has allowed her to grow and understand further that every animal has a soul, and each of those souls are journeying through this life just like us. They offer us lessons that often we have trouble getting to on our own.
