About the Event
Welcome to my holistic vegan cooking class where we will be exploring the flavors and techniques of plant-based cooking! In this class, we will be focusing on creating a delicious and nourishing meal using fresh ingredients and traditional Mediterranean-inspired recipes.
We will begin by learning how to make Vegan Shakshuka, a hearty and savory dish that is perfect for any meal of the day. Using a combination of diced tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and spices, we will create a flavorful base for our dish. We will then add in tofu to create a plant-based version of the traditional egg dish. This vegan shakshuka is both satisfying and wholesome, making it a great addition to any vegan meal plan.
Next, we will be making a Spring Couscous Salad, a refreshing and light dish that is perfect for the warmer weather. We will be using fresh greens, herbs, and seasonal vegetables to create a colorful and flavorful salad. We will also be adding in some protein-rich chickpeas and chewy couscous to make it a complete and balanced meal. This salad is perfect for a light lunch or as a side dish for your dinner.
Finally, we will be ending our class with Sweet Baklava, a traditional Mediterranean dessert made with phyllo dough, nuts, and a sweet syrup. We will be using plant-based ingredients to make this dessert vegan-friendly. We will show you how to make a flaky and buttery phyllo dough, and then fill it with a nutty and sweet filling. We will then top it off with a fragrant syrup made with honey alternatives to add that extra sweetness.
Throughout this class, we will be emphasizing the importance of using fresh and wholesome ingredients to create nourishing meals. We will also be discussing the health benefits of a plant-based diet and how it can benefit both your body and the planet.
