THE INTENTION BEHIND THE JOURNEY

The path of Bhakti Yoga was the process that brought us back home to who we really are. Through it we began an inward journey that shifted away from what no longer was serving us, and brought forth the missing link that we had been seeking for so many years; divine soul connection.

Shortly after committing to the practice, our lifestyles began to change. By creating a foundation on Bhakti, Ayurveda, Breathwork and other healing modalities, we allowed ourselves to uncover the greatest gifts a human can experience.

Sadhana

Daily practice & self-study

Sangha

Community & association

Seva

Service to each other

We fully trust in the process of committing to these three pillars, which have completely changed our lives, therefore we lovingly invite you to dive into an experience of living these teachings and, as a result, living in harmony.

Christina Gdisis

Christina is a Conscious Vegan Lifestyle Coach, a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher, and an Activist. She has been living an ahimsic lifestyle for nearly 10 years and in that time has explored the depths of compassionate living through yoga, ethical veganism, social justice, and the environment. She creates safe and explorative spaces for others in their sacred kitchens, lifestyle programs, and retreats, to dive deep into what it means to live consciously and how to live life more authentically from the heart.

It is through yoga that she found a path of sharing what it means to embody conscious living – understanding that it’s not just about what we consume but more about connecting to our ethics and morals. These guiding compassionate principles are the foundation of safe and supportive environments that give us the opportunity to uncover our layers and connect with our soul. This soul space is what helps us navigate actions and choices that honor our relationship with ourselves, community, allies, and Mama Earth.

Christina is a native New Yorker from Queens and 1st generation to Greek immigrants from her motherland’s mountainous rural farmlands. She received her training from the Bhakti Center in NYC, in Vedic Yoga and Meditation. Currently she is training with the Prison Yoga Project through the lens of Trauma and Incarceration and hopes to soon serve prisoners in New York State.

Meet your teachers:

Iraimer Ruiz

Program director, founder of the Sacred Movement school and director at Stanton Street Yoga NYC, Iraimer (Ira) is a 500 E-RYT dance-movement artist, certified trauma-informed holistic coach, and a certified facilitator of integrative somatic trauma therapy using the modalities of Yoga, Ayurveda and Transformational Sacred Breathwork.

As a latina woman of color raised in marginalized and oppressed communities, her greatest mission is to create safe and inclusive wellness spaces that offer equitable holistic self-integrative tools for all bodies to approach their healing process in a supportive, loving and welcoming environment.

Rooted in Vedic sciences, she uses modern psychology and somatics as a means to empower others through the process of broadening their current state of awareness, reconnecting to the infinite source of wisdom and love within, so that all can succeed in the journey of life by cultivating a sacred relationship with the inner-outer environment, and from there with the Divine Source. She aims to guide individuals through sacred journeys that ignite their curiosity to rediscover themselves, and offers practices to both balance and integrate the body-mind with the soul’s purpose (dharma), and from here, move through the body of the world embodied.

Based in the north east coast, and her home base - Puerto Rico - Iraimer leads culturally-immersive retreats, healing gatherings, teacher training and wellness consultations internationally.

about Crete:

Crete island is the largest of all Greek islands and the fifth-largest island of the Mediterranean Sea, with beaches stretching over 160 miles. With a rich historical and cultural background, Crete is a wonderful place with distinctive differences from the rest of the country in terms of customs, daily life, and nature.

Located on the southern side of Greece, Crete is surrounded by the Aegean Sea on the north and the Libyan Sea on the south. Its morphology is extremely mountainous and it is formed by three large groups of mountains: the White Mountains (or Lefka Ori), the Idi Range (Psiloritis) and the Dikti Mountains. These mountains resulted in the formation of valleys, plateaus, caves, lakes and many gorges. The most famous is the Samaria Gorge, the Gorge of Ha, the Gorge of the Dead and others.
